We appreciate your patience and we receive many applications a day requesting for assistance.

We currently have (4) four case worker covering the entire Navajo Nation and beyond, so our current processing time is 4-5 weeks. We suggest you call back during this time to check on the status of your application.

We hope to speed up the process in the near future by incorporating an online portal system

The best way to submit documents is to provide a PDF. Although we do accept photos, taken from a phone camera, the processing time for such attachments is tripled as most photos are never in order and are often separated into several files.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

- CIB, FOR APPLICANT

- LEASE AGREEMENT and LANDLORD’S W-9

- INVOICES FOR ASSISTANCE REQUESTED – RENT, UTILITY

- INCOME VERIFICATION FOR HOUSEHOLD - FY 2020 TAX RETURN (1040 ONLY) OR CHECK STUBS, AWARD LETTERS ETC.

-  IF PAST DUE PAYMENTS REQUESTED, ITEMIZED PAST DUE STATEMENT

- INDIVIDUAL STATEMENT OUTLINING ASSISTANCE REQUEST, HISTORY OF EVENTS (LAID-OFF/REDUCED HOURS), HOSPITAL STAYS/EXPENSES

Local Resources

We understand many applicants may not own a computer or scanner, however, these services are often times available at your local library.

UPS and Fedex are also resources you can go to for internet access.

Other resources include: Library UPS, FedEx Community Centers Family, Relatives Government offices – chapterhouse, etc. Landlord Utility provider.

- Copy of Current Rental Unit Lease

- Statement by the Landlord as
he Verified owner of the Rental Unit

- Proof of Tribal Enrollment for each house-hold member

- Income verification for each
member 18 or older

- Current Driver’s License

- Documentation, of:
employment benefits,
Reduction in household income,
Financial hardship, Loss of self employment/business income.
